Our story
We are a family-run team from Dehradun and the oldest trekking company still working the Garhwal Himalaya — top-rated in Uttarakhand, and trusted by over 21,000 mountaineers. Our office is at Balli Wala Chowk in Dehradun. Our mountain base is Sankri in Uttarkashi, the trailhead for Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, Ruinsara Tal and the Bali Pass crossing. Beyond Garhwal we run trips across Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh. We built this around two things: bringing people back safely, and leaving the mountains the way we found them. Our guides and high-altitude staff are certified and have worked these routes for years. Equipment is checked before every departure. The food is fresh and organic, cooked on the mountain. Women trek with us solo and in groups, and we plan for it rather than hope for it — separate tents for women on every trek, a crew we know personally instead of seasonal hires, and leaders briefed so that nobody is ever left walking alone at the back. Many of our repeat trekkers are women travelling on their own. Someone from our team is reachable around the clock while you plan, and while you are on the mountain.

Scaling the valley of gods, "Har ki dun" is unforgettable, the bonds made along the trail was the real highlight. From freezing temp to great food and stories and laughter by campfire. It was incredible.
November, 2025 We were a group of 6 and had an amazing experience on the Har Ki Dun trek. We had the best team Arvind Sir, Sridevi Ma’am, Kalpana Ma’am, Namrata Ji, Shivam Bhai, and me. What an energetic and fun team it was, We enjoyed every moment together. A big thanks to Rohit Bhai and the entire Crazy Mountaineer team for arranging everything so well. The food was great, and safety was also taken care of very well Hope we do many more treks together in the future ❤️

Our office is at Balli Wala Chowk in Dehradun, and our mountain base is Sankri in Uttarkashi district — the road head for Kedarkantha, Har Ki Dun, Ruinsara Tal and Bali Pass. Dehradun is the nearest railhead and Jolly Grant the nearest airport, both an easy pick-up for us.
