Our story

Bharat Outdoors is an adventure company run by mountaineers and high-altitude trek leaders. We operate in the Western Himalayan states of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, from offices in Dehradun, Sankri and Manali. Founder Rohit Singh Rawat is a native of Uttarakhand who has led treks in the Western Himalaya for eight years. He holds the Basic and Advance Mountaineering Courses from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), Uttarkashi, one of India's premier mountaineering institutes. We practise eco-tourism and hold to one rule on every trip: leave your ego at the trailhead, and carry every piece of waste back down. The mountains keep neither.
